Brunch by the Lake

Earlier in the year the very low sun meant this picnic spot right next to the lake was shadowed. But now the sun rises higher and for the first time we were able to sit here in the sun and eat brunch!
On the land side the forest is thick and rocky so the only easy way to get here is over the lake. It's the ice in winter/spring or the kayaks in summer/autumn for us.
Maybe next time we come here we'll bring some wood and use that oildrum fireplace to make a cup of fresh coffee!
We don't know who placed these benches and fireplace here but we are very grateful they did so.
