Teasels

The cold dry air which has given us such sparkling winter days deserted us yesterday evening being replaced by air which had a little more moisture meaning that last night's frost, at -3C was not as deep as the previous night  but was accompanied by freezing fog.

The pavements were slippy in places when we went out of our morning walk, although not too bad. The fog had begun to coat leaves and flower heads with a rimey hoar frost, word which I understand mean the same or similar phenomena which made an ideal subject for today's blip.

Despite being relatively milder it actually felt colder in the grey conditions so we were glad to reach the garden centre for out complimentary coffee and to collect some bird food. That's the third garden centre in four days and more than enough for the time being.

Made beetroot burgers from the Tesco magazine. Tasted OK but despite cooking them for the required time they didnt seem hot enough.

Thank you all who responded to my suggestion for a blip meet in the Lakes. Based on the replies I've suggested that Wednesday 1st March might be the best day. Next is Where?
