25th January

This is Henrietta the Haggis.
We bought her last week and we have been keeping her in the greenhouse.
She's pretty wild ( link to WildWed43)
But today it is Burn's Night celebrating the birth of Scottish Poet Robert Burns.
The traditional meal is haggis with neeps and tatties so later today, Henrietta will be sacrificed before being boiled and eaten.
Before the meal, we will recite the Selkirk Grace.
" Soma hae meat and canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat;
Sae let the Lord be thankit."
Here's  a lovely song for today.

P.S. it's my sister's birthday today
P.P.S. It's vegetarian haggis !!
