Life through the lens...

Light at the end of the tunnel.

What a glorious day. Up to 9c.

Made the most of it, and had a walk along the Rochdale Canal from Sowerby Bridge to Luddenden Foot and back.
This was my favourite photo of Mr C and the reflections in the water as we came out of the tunnel. More on extras.

We couldn't go any further as the towpath was closed towards Hebden Bridge.
However it was 5 miles there and back and our car park ticket ran out after 3 hours, so we couldn't have gone much further.
Not much water in the canal as they are still doing repairs after the 2015 floods.
In places there were trees blocking the way, and part of the banking had collapsed .
Even saw the remains of a car.

Nice to hear the birds singing. A real sign that Spring is on the way.
As well as ducks chasing one another , we saw a bullfinch , woodpecker , long tailed tits, robins, and blackbirds.

I hope they will have the work finished before the holiday season starts. They are certainly trying their best. We counted over 12 vans around Elland Bridge.
