Life through the lens...

The High Street

After yesterday’s rain,
( None stop from home to Cheltenham.)
we woke to glorious sunshine.
Had a lovely stopover in our favourite Cotswold old town, Burford.
A delicious breakfast ( full English of course)
was followed by a walk round the town, before setting off back home.
I bought a sweater for just £14.95 ( less than half price) now that is a bargain.
Then saw a purse which I had to have. Just the right size for holidays. Place for notes, zip for cash and another for a credit card.
Then also saw a scarf which was perfect to go with the sweater, and so that was purchased as well. Total spent £30.00
Just wish we lived nearer. The shops here are fabulous.
The extra photo is the beautiful church of St John the Baptist.
Building began in 1175 including the West Door in the photo.
The tower was much smaller but the spire was added in the 15th century .
Because of this addition the tower started to move, and had to be shored up. Any movement is now carefully monitored.
It was a tossup which photo to use for my main blip. I wonder which you like best?

After a very good journey back, up the Fossway/ M1 we are now having a cuppa.
No food required. Still full from breakfast!
