A Monkey's Tale

Frenzy!

Moorhen Mum was speeding around today on the lake's water surface, seemingly chasing something, may a tiny fish to feed her babies? It was rather an odd but funny sight to behold & it was right on the opposite side of the lake, so not an easy shot to take. I hope you can make out the mother darting across the water, a slightly older, grey sibling at the back semi-hiding, & one or two babies in the water surround them amongst the lily pads.

Another busy busy day at Warty Towels with the Disabled British Open players taking to the course on the first day of the tournament. A slightly more (actually, extremely more when considering last nights debacle) well organised 3 course dinner was order of the eve, with the Rat Pack providing the entertainment. I was bar-waiting tonight, so saw the whole shebang in all its glory, & it seemed to run as a well oiled machine & go very well indeed. Luckily, with an early start beckoning in the morning, I was allowed to leave slightly early.

However, I was later informed that the hooligan of last nights piece returned with avengance, smoking inside, blowing smoke & tapping ash over the bar & relieving himself off the bar balcony. Very unsavory & a red card offense if you ask me. Anyway, you have to laugh.
