Wonderful waxwings

We could not believe our luck this morning as we passed a local Co-op. John noticed loads of red berries on a bush and I noticed about 40 to 50 birds high up on  a tree. We decided  to turn back and find out what they were.
Excitement mounted as we realised they were waxwings! We got out and started taking photos and before long other people were gathering taking photos too.

Took Ali and Eve out for lunch. Eve started back at nursery today after her bout of chickenpox. She stayed with us until mid afternoon and had a wee rest on the couch. ( Extra photo)
