Lily

An early visit to the local Rose Garden this morning showed a lot of broken twigs and leaves from the trees, brought down by these horrible and persistent winds we are having. The roses however looked pretty good. They are well staked and supported - and it is just as well, as it is still blowing..

My eye was taken today by this lovely lily.. I don't know what kind it is, but I loved the colour lighting up a corner of the gardens.

In the extras is a sign that made me smile today, on the pavement outside a book and stationery shop.
