South Coast Scribblings

Gift

I had a lovely second gift of flowers today from another lady at church. It is such a long haul with this ghastly virus - never known anything like it. I've been really poorly for nearly a month now, but today I managed to do a few small things like putting the flowers in a vase, helping a bit towards lunch and doing a small amount of typing. Keep having to take rests every few minutes though. The curve towards health is going very slowly upwards but still a loooong way to go.

I have been doing some useful purchasing online as I've had time to think about it. I got some really quirky new table mats - I want to put a photo on here, but after all the stuff about copyright perhaps I'd better not! I also managed to get hold of a German made kitchen timer (all the others I have bought have broken in a very short time, both mechanical and digital). I also bought a new loo brush as ours was past its best (very exciting). My iPad has been a life-saver for doing jigsaws, playing games, shopping, reading etc. I have read all of the Anne of Green Gables books again via Kindle - a good long read, if a bit dated. For her time, I think the author's attitude was quite far ahead in some ways.

Hopefully, things will be more back to normal in a week or two and I can begin socialising again!
