A Good Fire

A rather damp afternoon at the Portobello Community Orchard for a bit of wassailing with the choir. Despite the weather there was a reasonable gathering of people to sing a set of apple-related songs and do our bit to encourage the trees to grow in the year to come. A number of traditional activities as well as the singing, like sprinkling cider on the trees and shouting and generally making a noise to scare off any lingering evil spirits in the orchard!
