Big Garden Birdwatch

Today we spent an hour watching the birds in our garden for the RSPB garden birdwatch.

The birds were out in force today.  The numbers in one hour were as follows:

6 Blue Tit    
2 Robins
6 Goldfinch
5 Blackbirds    
3 Pigeons
2 Sparrow
2 Nuthatch
1 Greenfinch
1 Great Tit
1 Chaffinch

These are not total numbers but as per the rules of the birdwatch they are the maximum number of any bird that we saw at any one time (to avoid double counting)

Of course,  Sod's Law dictated that when I got the camera out the best I could get was a solitary Blue Tit :-(
