The last time the mountaineering club had a meet in Patterdale I approached it from the north, this time I went the other way, coming down the Kirkstone Pass for the first time. 

I was the key-holder, so no trouble getting in this time.  The wood-burner did take quite a while to get going as even the fire-lighters weren't very keen on staying alight, but it was roaring by the time others arrived.
