The Little Tsingy

Tsingy pronounced like Ching-y by our guide is a series of rock formations formed by a coral reef being formed into limestone and then rising and having acid rain form very sharp, hard and needle like peaks.

We did a river cruise in dug out canoes as we would call them back ho me or lakana visiting some caves and then did a walk through the Little Tsingy. If you are a goat or a mountain climber/caver, you would have loved it. There are fissures which form passage ways through them but there is a lot of climbing up and around rocks until you get to viewing platforms to see over them and this view.

The real highlight was seeing some white lemurs (verax siefaka??) at the end of the walk. I think I took about 300 very bad photos of them feeding off mango flowers. We all went mad.
