May the Force be with you

Today was the day I nearly died. We did the big Tsingy walk. The temperature must have been about 35 C or more on the top. Mountain goats would pass on this one. Instead of 10 metre chasms they were 50 metres. It was bigger than the little Tsingy, well I guess that stands to reason, and generally a tough place to climb.

We were wearing harnesses and on many places had to clip carabineers onto to wires. Falling on those needle like spires would kill you for sure. There was also a suspension bridge to walk across at the top. Joy of joys. There were only 4 of us that did this with two guides as the rest of the group had either a panic attack doing the little Tsingy or had succumbed to food poisoning from dinner the night before. My onset of food poisoning came on half way through this trek. Add heat exhaustion and dehydration to the pot.

We saw some interesting animals on the walk including banded mongoose, several species of lemur, a jumping rat and some gorgeous geckos. Unfortunately by the end of the walk I couldn't be bothered getting my camera out. This little fellow (Yoda I call him) was spotted at the beginning of the walk.
