Above And Beyond...

The Gold Coast Sky Tower

A few blocks away from our flat it the tallest residential tower in the world called the Sky Point at 750 feet high. So this morning we walked there and paid the £15 admission each to take in the stunning 360 degree views over The Gold Coast.

The Blip photo shows the views North and South of the beach so you can get an idea just how long it is. It literally runs for miles in either direction.

The first sky scraper was built on the coast in 1971 and Sky Point was completed in 2005. The first hotel was built in 1925 so you can see the resort is not that old and changed so much in a less than a 100 years.

Afterwards we went for a drive back to The Spit, which is a very large park with inland water ways where we enjoyed a couple of hours under a shady tree on the beach and a dip in the water to cool off.
