They're at it already!

I'm a bit surprised to be finding insect larvae munching away in my garden already. Today I found two different moth caterpillars and this Rosemary Beetle larva - just 5mm long. I don't like killing things, but wouldn't object if there was a further really cold spell to control their depredations - is that hypocritical?
