Blue Mountains & The Blackheath Blippers!

The alarm went off at 4am for us to catch the tube from Edgecliff station to Central Station (a real rabbit warren of platforms there) for the train to get us to The Blue Mountains in New South Wales, Oz. We arrived at 8.02am in to the capable hands of Hobbs who'd organised our visit with military precison. The blip photo shows him having yet another moment of fun. What a fab tour guide he made.

After a good hour tour of a couple of tourists hotspots before they got busy we arrived at Trisharooni house at 9.30am for morning tea. The Blackheath Blippers were mobilised and we were joined by Beckett , Isbi , and WalkingWombat.

We were taken on a whistlestop tour of The Blue Mountains in Isbi's car where we saw some absolute stunning scenery. We stopped off near Isbi's house at a Tea Room for lunch where we were joined by her husband. After a leisurely lunch we continued on the tour before it was time to get to Blackheath Station for our 4.15pm train back. We arrived back at our hotel at 7pm to pack ready to move on to Cairns early Sunday morning.

It was the first time that we'd met any of the Blackheath Blippers but it seems like we'd know them for years. We had an absolutely fabulous time that went all so quick. THANK YOU!

Mrs BB (Jackie) has asked me to "thank" them all. She's not a blipper but really enjoyed the day as you can see from the extra. She's holding Hobbs's hat that he'd lent me (I was frightened it'd take off in then breeze) whilst I took her photo.

I only hope that when any of The Blackheath Blippers come to the UK they'll look us up so we can meet up again and show them what Old South Wales has to offer!
