The last ferry of the day

I started the day at the Sheraton Hotel in  Edinburgh debating Brexit with Michael Gove at a breakfast meeting organised by The Times.

I finished the  day discussing Brexit in a public meeting in the village hall in Cullipool on the Island of Luing.

Afterwards we had a convivial meal in the wonderful Atlantic Islands Centre and then caught the last ferry of the day - the 10.30pm - back across the Cuan Sound.     It was rainy but calm , which was just as well given that it is an open boat though the current was running very strongly.

I got home just before 1.00 am .
