A wet morning

Too wet to sample the street food in Bloomsbury. Nowhere to sit to partake of the Korean, Palestinian, Argentinian delicacies...wet seats, people rushing by with umbrellas......

So we headed for an unusual little place behind Great Ormond Street hospital. The owner is French, the chef is Italian, and the team are charming.

We dripped in for brunch and it was superb. The main course, brandade de morue with salad and home made tapenade was to die for.....slow and leisurely. Crisp and matching Verdicchio de Castelli di Jesu.......

And when we emerged, the sun was shining.

Jonas Kaufmann at the Barbican this evening.
Life is good.
