Inside at Last

For all the time we've lived in this house, we've had a view of a disused church from the back of the house (we've blipped the exterior in the past). It fell in to disuse when the hospital to which it was attached, closed in the 1980's. The current owner ensured it was watertight and secure but has struggled to persuade anyone to take it on and redevelop it. We understand it is listed and can only be converted into a limited range of other uses.

This morning, we spotted the doors were open and after a quick chat with the current owner I (Chris) was allowed inside. It was remarkably well preserved and seemed so much bigger than I expected. A photo or two were taken, well it was too good an opportunity to miss. Very cool.
