Helpful Advice

The founder of the Anderson High School in Lerwick, which I visited this morning, made his money from shipping , being a local boy who became the co- founder of P&O .

This plaque is mounted on the wall of the library in the old building and recalls the advice given to him when at a crucial juncture in his early life.

Pretty good advice still, and a fine gesture of thanks and respect.
