Hyacinth 1

My lovely friend J came over to watch a film last Sunday and gave me  three hyacinths in a pot. I am so looking forward to seeing them grow and will take a photo each week to chart their progress. The film we watched was a real favourite - 'On Golden Pond'. I love the music, the actors and just the ambiance of the whole thing, not to mention the theme - the very contrasting attitudes to getting old between Norman and Ethel. I hope I can approach old age with the same zest for life as Ethel (Katharine Hepburn) does.
