Winter wonderland

After almost 48 hours of continuous white stuff falling from the sky...it's stopped!  For now.  It really is so beautiful but alters the lives of so many.  The schools in our district are already closed tomorrow because the city can't keep up with clearing the roads.  We've had over 2 feet in a short amount of time and apparently there's more in the forecast.  

Despite the treacherous road conditions, we did head out this morning.  The hubster is a good driver as he has driven semi trucks (lorry I believe in the UK?) for many many years.  We were heading out to pick up daughter #2 and son (Cache) to take out for breakfast and then a grocery shop, when we received a call that daughter #1 and husband were stuck in the snow with their truck and needed help getting out.  Hubster to the rescue!  So after all that...the rescue, breakfast, shopping, I wanted to do a bit of driving around with camera to see what I could see.  The winds were still fierce but I managed to grab a few shots in hopes of showing you our winter wonderland.
