The View Out the Window (der Blick aus dem Fenster) at around 20 past 4 this afternoon.  It's always good when the wind turbines are visible - it means that the air is clearer than the usual fug that lies over Wiesbaden

I spent the day looking at code*. Be grateful it wasn't you.  I got so lost in in it this afternoon, it was an hour past my normal leaving time when I looked up for the first time after lunch.

And lunch was odd today.  Canteen packed as usual, when all of a sudden 20 people stood up and started hammering on drums.  And then the table next to them stood up and started hammering on some other piece of godforsaken percussion.  And then another table stood up to join in with their party piece.  And then it switched back to table 1.

All very jolly, but it would have been nice to have known in advance, so I could pick my lunchtime with cacophony or without.

*and trying to figure out why a program works in batch but goes TU when I run it online.  I have an idea for tomorrow.
