Tiny Fungi.

Crossing the lawn this morning I noticed quite a few of these little coolie hats popping up around the lawn. I guess a bit of rain after some hot days has triggered their appearance. They are only about 4-5 cm tall and the only way to capture them was to lie on the wet grass. I got cunning and went and got an old towel to lie on.

I rather like the wee drop balancing on the top of a grass blade in the bottom right corner.
