Bird's Eye view of Jaipur

This is the old elephant switchback path up to the Naghagarh Fort way up above the Pink City.  You can just see the sports stadium and beyond it the City Palace.  And yes, I did walk all the way, having crossed into the walled city from beyond the far walls.  I took a rickshaw down though by a different route and then caught a local bus to bring me back into the city.  Will be sitting in a bus tomorrow so it won't matter if I am stiff! You can't see the colours unfortunately - much of the city is painted pink, using the local crushed stones but many houses are painted a sky blue as the paint has mosquito repellent properties. The extra is another step-well for freespiral - don't think it is holy though and the monsoons haven't been good for 3 years here so there is little water.
