Hibiscus
Out in the City Of Bears for yet more work in the garden. I got the job of taking out a big, big plant. 6 hours later and the job was half way finished. I'll finish chopping up the big branches for firewood on Sunday. Hopefully the blisters will have gone by then.
Over our Kaffee & Kuchen (coffee and cake), I had a question about a verb that is used often by my QSM* & G. If you fidget with something, either one of these women will call you a "Piddler" and the associated verb is "piddeln". I asked how come I couldn't find this in my online dicitonaries or indeed in any of the dictionaries in the house. It appears it's just averb from North Deutschland and is not an Official Verb. It has nothing to do with the English "to piddle". And in case you were wondering what the German verb for "to piddle" is, it's "pinkeln".
I think the sun got to me a little bit today. Anyway, this is the Hibiscus in flower. Very pretty.
*QSM = Quasi-Schwiegermutter = my unofficial mother-in-law.
