Olympiades Metro

Taken from the 62 bus along Rue du Tolbiac, as we returned in late afternoon from the Bibliotheque Mitterand.  Olympiades is the terminus of the Paris Metro's Line 14--a fully automated line that went into service in 1998 (one of its advantages is that it can be operated by management during transit strikes).  At the library we attended an exhibition on the photographer Richard Avedon's work in France--not as intellectual as many shows we see, but still quite fun. We also enjoyed the Bourse du Talent 2016, with prize winners from the world of emerging photographers (an annual event that is always impressive).

The extra is an impressionistic view along the edge of the library's huge inner garden/courtyard.  The shiny diagonal on the right is an escalator leading up to the ground level; it is a complicated and often frustrating building--difficult to access and get around in.
