First Day

I took myself away from the many dangers at home to a photographic expedition at Dawyck Botanical Gardens.  It is drenched in snowdrops at the moment, tumbling down banks, tucked in amongst the azaleas and in random places across the garden.  The blip was my favourite and the extra gives some indication of the scale.

I spent a lot of time continuing my experiment with filters.  Thoroughly enjoyed it, got some good skies with a graduated filter.  Good fun - bleached skies or dark landscape have been one of the irritants of my photographic life.  We now have a way forward.  One will make it to a blip one of these days.  Lots of fun.
