Not a Blackbird

The weather won today.  We woke up to a snow covered landscape.  Thought it might be worth a few shots.  By the time I went for the Cooriedog walk, the air was full of sleet with a wind blowing hard and sharp against my face.  I was relieved to get inside.  I suspect Cooriedog was as well.

And it continued for the rest of the day.  The snow thawed with the sleet and anything picturesque disappeared.  There was a friendly blackbird hopping about but she disappeared at the sight of the camera.  So a very quick trip into the garden where the hazel catkins were trembling.

Time for another log on the fire.
