... was the cry from the birdies today as our temps all round New South Wales smashed the heat wave conditions we have been having.

Our temp here out west of Sydney at Penrith and Richmond hit 47 deg C - yes you read right!!

Richmond in fact was hottest February day in some 125 years, saw a clip on TV with a guy taking readings with an IR scanner showing cars metal at 70 deg C and asphault (road and paths etc) at as high as 80 deg C.... poor little birdies!

Thankfully due for a change by morning taking things back to norm of around 35 to 40 deg C.
