Black Water Falls

Chose a short drive rather than the planned walk today because it was so cold and grey!  We noticed yesterday on the way home from Glenshee that the Bleaton Hallet Bridge over the Black Water appeared to be open again, so went to check it out.

The original bridge here was washed away by Storm Frank in December 2015 and the road has been closed to traffic ever since.  However, the new bridge is now in situ and new parking for all of two vehicles has been provided just off the main A93, as well as steps down to the river.

My favourite view, however, is from the bridge itself so that's where this was taken.
