Themeda triandra - Kangaroo Grass

I have Blipped this before, but today I picked a seed head and rummaged around inside, which resulted in me discovering a really intricate  structure. It was this tiny beetroot coloured feathery bit that caught my eye (too technical for you?) as well as the yellow stamen.  This together with the mixture of green and yellow tufts make it a small but quite exquisite statement in the garden. I have one in my garden, but will dot some more among the natives. They make a great contrast in colour and texture.
