Snottygobbles

Or Cassytha pubescens - a native parasitic plant found commonly throughout south-eastern Australia.  It has been found very recently that this stuff is very good at smothering introduced weeds such as blackberry and gorse.  It's endemic to the Belair NP, so I can see it being introduced into areas where blackberry and other weeds abound.

You can see how it twists and winds all over the host plant.

And I have no idea how it got the name.
