Whaup or Curlew at Culross.

Despite the bitter easterly breeze this morning we took the Girls over to Higgins Neuk for a walk. Didn't see the egret, in fact there was almost no bird life about. They must have been trying to stay in cover and keep warm. So we decided to drive over to Culross and check out the foreshore where I saw this curlew (Whaup in Scots).
The extra today could be titled "Take a look up the rail track from Culross to Alloa" with apologies to The Proclaimers "Letter from America".
Driving back over the Kincardine Bridge, we spotted the egret flying over. Oh well, better luck next time!
