Sandbar Life.

This afternoon MaggieD and I stopped in at South Alloa to see if there was anything interesting on the river. The tide was well out and a sandbar had appeared about 2/3rds of the way across to Alloa Inch. There wasn't a lot really (at least as far as we could see) but a heron was stalking the shallows and a gull had found something tasty, a dead cormorant, I think. Nice!
There were quite a few widgeon way over on the far bank but just too far away for a decent photo.
We couldn't stay long as the wind was really biting and my fingers were giving me merry hell. Bloody arthritis!
