Specimen Jar

It was a truly vile day weather-wise, and I felt quite tired after yesterday's excursion, so most of the day was spent at the computer, entering more data. Late in the evening I looked for some photographic inspiration, and decided to record one of the semi-antique wet specimen jars Pete bought yesterday at the LNU meeting. A member was selling various entomological books and apparatus that had been donated to raise £600 for a microscope to  be used at Whisby Nature Centre. These beautifully made jars with ground glass stoppers cost Pete £5 for 20, a bargain I suspect. Now we just need to find somewhere to store them!
