I pass this guy on his horse to and from work (me, not the statue) almost everyday. He stands just round the corner from the Kremlin and in front of the State Historical Museum. A quick Google has revealed the statue to be Maarshall (sic) Zhukov's Monument. There are a lot of grand statues and even grander buildings, all with a long history, even if Zhukov only goes back to WWII.

Big thaw today, although I'm not sure how long it will last, just a day or so I'd imagine. Still waiting for a major snow storm, just hope I'm traveling when it hots.
