Esperanza

Yesterday it was our yardman, today it is our housekeeper, Esperanza. She comes twice a week. According to the owners, who have generously paid both their salaries while we have been here, she is to clean and maintain the house. She is also available to fix comida, the mid-day meal. We have benefited greatly from her delicious cooking. Two times each week of our stay, she fixes us some kind of wonderful, traditional food. She makes the best soups, a staple of each meal, and a great main dish. We have enjoyed molé, enchiladas, fried chicken, stuffed zucchini (one of our favorites, we had it three times including our final meal today), and a host of others. A real treat that caused us to eat in much more than we usually would. It is going to be tough in Zihua having to do everything ourselves once again. We have been spoiled the past two months!
