Windermere from Wrays Castle

Warm but a bit misty and  overcast today which made photographs a little hazzy.  We decided to visit places on the opposite side of the lake today. Wrays Castle was our first point of call, but as it is a National Trust property the house is closed until the weekend.  The school holidays do not start in Cumbria until next week.  However the grounds were open and the views over the lake were spectacular.

Next stop was Hawkshead and the same story with the National Trust and the Beatrix Potter Gallery.  A little disappointing but I understand they have to get the exhibits ready, same story at Hill Top and Sizergh Castle.  A great day none the less.
