It's Grim Up North

A bad day for rabbits

Could there be another rabbit in there? I don't like the ears, they're a bit chewy.

False news.
Yesterday newspapers were running pieces about pensioners being better off than younger people in work. All good stuff for stirring up the generational divide. But... nobody mentioned that the financial stats included the wages of pensioners that are still working and more importantly, when you take away the housing costs of the younger people and looked at the total income of both groups, the younger groups has the higher income which is sucked into the ridiculous cost of housing. This means that, as usual, we can blame Thatcher for selling off council houses and subsequent governments not building enough houses. The problem is the lack of housing, not the 'generous' pensions of the old folk. Divide and rule.
