Tree-gate

I have wandered round the local park many times, but this is the first time I have noticed this.  It appears that at some time a metal gate has leaned against this tree (or perhaps it was once a fence passing very close to the tree). Over the years, the tree has grown round the gate/fence, incorporating it into its trunk.  It looks like this has happened over a good many years.
