Giant incense sticks

Our dear friends Dave and Alison from Dubai (and Dave's parents) are in HK for a few days and we'd arranged to meet up at Ngong Ping at the Big Buddha on Lantau island.

The cable cars are under maintenance at the moment, so we went up on the bus, which was lovely, the scenic route.

We all had a lovely day with perfect weather up there. Lunch was at the vegetarian restaurant with food cooked by the nuns and monks. They were all adventurous enough to try the various food I'd chosen for us all.

Great day out and super that Eileen could meet them as well.

Home to a mini happy hour and a super minestrone made by the man!
