I have long marveled at the ability of many photographers to capture ethereal images. My photographic style has always been more realistic. Today I was stumped for an image, having only shot a half dozen at the market of which none were anything interesting. I thought this uninspired shot of the tops of orange net bags might hold some promise if converted to black and white. As I worked through the presets in NIK Silver Effects Pro, something unique (for me anyway) started to emerge. By the time I was finished, I had something I have seen and admired in many other journals but never found in my own work. I doubt I will be able to recreate such an effect anytime soon, but for today I was an "artistic" photographer (or at least computer operator).
