Man and dog

A few minutes this evening making the remainder of the day's problems fade into the distance.

Back to work this morning expecting IT to have recovered all the data off my dead laptop and reinstalled the applications etc. You guessed it. Nothing! Messages were not passed on and instructions followed.

So, another visit to their den and an email from my boss to escalate.
Some action at long last. But, hopes were soon dashed when the message given last Friday was found to be without foundation. My dats is well and truly lost.

Another email from boss to IT director to point ou the future problems with his edict to put all machines on encrypted disks.

Got to redo three days work in a day and a half now. Thanks guys.


At least somethings moved forward at home. Components ordered for Jamie to build his superfast desktop machine.
