Howler Monkey

We visited our last ruin (possibly) after breakfast to see a small but very good Mayan site. As we arrived, a French family was just leaving – these had been staying at the same hotel and we had seen them at several other sites, so we had sort of got to know them! After that, we the were only people there! Lovely to have place to ourselves.

The howler monkeys were feeding high up in the trees and it was hard to get one visible enough and in focus! These ruins were definitely worth the journey and still plenty to see.

A long journey then followed, over to our next area near the coast at Isla Aguida. This hotel had mixed reviews ranging from outstanding to rubbish but it's the area we wanted so we took the risk and so far so good! Now with a sea view from our room.
