Dancing grebes

Cycled down to pilates after a nice lazy get up. Getting back up the hill is definitely getting easier after a few weeks of spinning classes. 

Walked into town along the river and enjoyed the warm sunshine and birdsong. Did a few errands and then walked back along the canal. We followed a grebe that was diving and then disappearing for a few minutes. We kept just missing it. When it got to Kennet mouth, it met up with another grebe and they started doing their courtship display. It was great to watch as they follow each other's moves, bob up and down and frill out their neck feathers. Spring is definitely on its way.
