Sonning snowdrops

Decided to go for a local walk after lunch. We went up to Sonning in search of snowdrops. We've found drifts of them in the churchyard before.

We were not disappointed. Several large areas of beautiful snowdrops and a huge expanse of white and purple crocuses too. Very pretty.

We walked along the river, back through the nature reserve and then back almost to Cemetery Junction in order to get back via the park.

Although we didn't get the sun, it was warm and the birds were very loud. With all the crocuses, catkins, snowdrops and pussy willow around, I think it is almost Spring.

In to London for a couple of days next week so I may be back to pictures of Paddington and trains.
