Gloomy, grey & glum

No distant vista of my homely Howgills to herald my return - instead we woke to a cloudbase level with the rooftops of Orton.
A wander up on the Scar was a dreary damp affair - the few other dogwalkers we saw had heads bowed getting the job done.
Brunch at Plumgarths farm shop at least took us out of the clag - but added visibility simply meant more rain. Winter is conspicuous in its absence.

It is of course wonderful to be back home with my two girls - unsurprisingly though only one could be bribed to be today's blip - though I think Pushka's expression tells you how impressed she was by the whole thing.
