At last- a snowy owl

I know it is pet day , but we went in search of a snowy that has been reported to be fairly close to here in Pa- only an hour away and reliable spottings almost every day. To my everlasting surprise it was actually there in the field. It was not close though , so this is cropped big time. He ( or she) was initially sitting behind a clump of hay , then moved out but not closer and disappointed us all by not flying. You can't win em all. But you can add a great bird to your list!
And for Pet day the extra is Gandalf -last night .
